COACHING

A confidential space to think clearly.

Coaching is an opportunity to step outside the demands of your day-to-day professional life and give some attention to the things you may not otherwise have time to think about.

Sometimes there is a specific issue to work through.

Sometimes you know something needs to change, but aren't sure what.

And sometimes things are going well, but you're ready to think more deliberately about what comes next.

There is no prescribed agenda. The starting point is always where you are.

What we might work on

How we work together

Coaching can be tailored to what you need.

Sometimes a single conversation is enough to work through a particular issue or decision. Sometimes a series of conversations over a period of time provides the space to explore something more fully.

We can work together on a one-off basis, for a defined period, or on an ongoing basis, depending on what is most useful for you.

There is no need to decide that before we talk.

Having spent nearly 20 years in law, including as a partner and board member, I understand the culture, expectations and career structures of the legal profession because I've experienced them myself.

I understand the transition to partnership, the pressures of being a partner, the dynamics of working within a firm and the challenge of leading people who were once your peers.

I have also lived the demands of returning to practice after parental leave and the challenges that come with questioning what might be next.

For lawyers, coaching conversations might include:

  • stepping into partnership and leadership

  • developing influence and confidence

  • navigating the pressures and expectations of practice

  • returning to work after parental leave or another significant break

  • career decisions and change

  • working out what comes next
